What we do

What makes Dandelion different?

Traditional Approach
Dandelion’s Approach

🚨

Another overwhelmed family is assigned to you.

Families join The Hub, where parents receive hands-on coaching.

🚨

Parents want immediate relief without adding more to their plate.

At first, progress feels slow—but real change takes time.

🚨

The child and family cycle through services, and frustration builds.

Your role is crucial—helping families trust the process and stay engaged.

🚨

Parents disengage, crisis moments escalate, and you’re left managing the fallout.

Weekly 15-minute check-ins keep you informed without extra work.

🚨

Eventually, out-of-home placement feels inevitable.

Over time, families stabilize, parents gain confidence, and crisis moments decrease.

🚨

Your workload stays impossible, and families are caught in an endless cycle of interventions that don’t work.

Your workload lightens, and families get the tools to stay together.

How to refer a family

Step 01
Determine
eligibility
  1. The child must receive county case management.

  2. Check for CADI Waiver, Family Support Grant, or other funding eligibility.

Step 02
Make the
referral
  1. Contact us or submit a referral form.

  2. We schedule a screening call with you & the family.

Step 03
Join the
weekly calls
  1. Quick 15-minute check-ins keep from chasing providers for info.

  2. Start experiencing the relief that comes from partnership.

I've got some concerns

We know you have doubts.
Here’s why Dandelion is different.

1. “This seems like a long process—families want solutions now.”

Many families want immediate results, but we both know that true change takes time and it happens through relationships. Dandelion doesn’t offer temporary solutions; we help families build sustainable, long-term stability. You can assure families that while this isn’t a quick fix, it’s the most effective way to create lasting change.

2. “This looks like permissive parenting.”

Dandelion is not about letting kids do whatever they want. We focus on co-regulation and nervous system stabilization, which leads to real behavioral change—without relying on fear, punishment, or coercion. Compliance alone isn’t the goal—building lasting skills for self-regulation and connection is.

3. “Will this add more work to my already overwhelming caseload?”

Actually, it’s the opposite. The 15-minute weekly check-ins reduce the time spent troubleshooting crises and streamline communication. By staying proactive, case managers spend less time reacting to emergency situations and more time on meaningful, sustainable solutions.

4. “Families struggle to follow through—how do I know they’ll stick with this?”

Change is hard, and families often want to quit when things get tough. That’s why Dandelion offers consistent, built-in support—not just for the child, but for the whole family and even the case managers! Case managers like you play a key role in keeping families engaged, but no one here has to do it alone. We’re in this together.

5. “I need to justify funding—how do I know this is worth it?”

The Hub is waiver-approved and fully fundable through the Minnesota Waiver Program. It’s designed to prevent costlier interventions like out-of-home placements. Investing in Dandelion means keeping families together and reducing long-term system dependency.

When people’s lives are improved, they have great things to say.

[Dandelion] provides CADI Waiver programming for youth. I have seen how they work to improve parents’ ability to parent through difficult situations, addressing underlying feelings of shame, guilt, and competence while promoting healing and foundational changes in the family structure.

I have had the honor and privilege to partner with [Dandelion]  through our Human Services programs and have been exposed to the transformative practices their community utilizes when working with individuals and families from diverse backgrounds, and who are often experiencing significant systemic risk factors.

As a case manager, collaborating with providers can be overwhelming. When I began working with [Dandelion] , I didn’t expect it to be any different. However, their collaboration has made a significant difference in navigating the complexities of my families.
